Facilities Technician
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs various restaurant maintenance functions. Records activity in maintenance log. These functions may include, but are not limited to:
o HVAC Repairs
o Refrigeration Repairs
o Preventative Maintenance Program
o Plumbing Issues (Drains, Grease Traps, Water Lines, Hot Water Heaters)
o Electrical Knowledge (Breakers, Outlets, Switches, Roof Lighting)
o Gas and Electric Frying Equipment
o Plumbing Issues (Drains, Grease Traps, Water Lines, Hot Water Heaters)
o Electrical Knowledge (Breakers, Outlets, Switches, Roof Lighting)
o Gas and Electric Frying Equipment
- Responds to service requests and concerns in a timely manner.
- Reports any maintenance concerns for repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- May assist in monitoring and/or controlling maintenance inventory and/or supplies.
- Moves heavy objects as requested.
- Assists the Maintenance Supervisor on special maintenance projects, (i.e., preventative maintenance of building components and/or mechanicals).
- Consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with coworkers and the general public, at all times, on or off the property.
- Attends and participates in training seminars as requested.
- Assists other staff members as needed.
- Delivers various communications to managers as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Self-starter and able to work without constant supervision.
- Has own vehicle and tools.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Trade school and/or military training a plus. One
to five years of verifiable hands-on general maintenance experience.
Licenses/Certification:
· Valid drivers’ license along with good driving record and auto insurance is required.
· EPA 608 Universal is preferred.
· HVAC certification is preferred.
PHYSICAL AND VISUAL ACTIVITIES:
Inside and outside work in all types of weather. Medium to heavy work requiring prolonged or
repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and lifting to a maximum of
100 lbs., with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs. Good hand/eye coordination is
essential. Color perception, the ability to differentiate colors in terms of hue, and the ability to
identify a particular color or color combination from memory is required.
